There is a requirement for a local authority to have arrangements in place to scrutinise the work of the public services board (PSB).
Under the Well-being of Future Generations Act, scrutiny can:
- review decisions made or actions taken by the PSB
- review the Board’s governance arrangements
- make reports to the Board regarding its function or governance arrangements
- require PSB members to attend the Committee.
The Council’s Policy Review and Performance Scrutiny Committee has formal responsibility for scrutinising the Cardiff Public Services Board. However, each of the other Council scrutiny committees can scrutinise specific Public Services Board issues falling under its terms of reference. Papers can be found here
